Finally, BlackBerry have moved forward with it’s trademark of “roller wheels” to “touch screen” navigation. The new BlackBerry Storm is set to come to the “Can you hear me now – Verizon Network” come November, and to Vodafone in Europe, and elsewhere. Rumored to be the “iPhone killer”, this may just be the new hype. However; with no WiFi accessibility, can this really catch people’s attention?
Personally, I’ve always been an avid SmartPhone (Windows Mobile Platform) user, and never liked the functionality of a “roller wheel” to do my navigation. I guess it’s just a matter of preference and how comfortable you are with it. I’ve always liked to be able to “touch” just where I want and need to navigate to, instead of rolling away endlessly. But, with this new touch screen feature on the Berry, I just may consider doing a first time change-over (oh my!). Not to mention 1GB of built in memory, you can’t beat that!
